To Whom it May Concern
I am writing this letter
because we were so impressed with the deck that we had
built by "Designer Decks" that I wanted to show my
appreciation by writing this letter as a recommendation
for future customers.
From our initial meeting
with Pete, I was impressed with his knowledge and
description of the level of detail his crews put
into every deck they build.
I also asked if we could see any decks they had built vs
looking at pictures on the website and he gave us a few
locations to look at. We called one of his former
customers before going to see her deck and she spoke
so highly of the work that
his crew had done, and how they always were on time and
communicated everything to her, that we felt comfortable
going with Pete's company. She also recommended
them to her neighbors, who subsequently had a deck built
and she is having additional work done on installing a
fence w/ Designer Decks because she was so impressed
also. All of the decks we looked at were done with
such a high level of attention to detail that we were
impressed with each and every one of them, much more so
than the other decks, including those done from the best
known of the companies
that we considered and one
with a very good reputation.
When we first met with Pete,
we had already narrowed down our decision to a very
reputable local company that is very
well known, but Pete won the
job because he was the only one who, when he came out
for the initial estimate, noticed something about our
doorway that would require a small change to our deck.
None of the other companies noticed this detail, but
when I mentioned it after Pete pointed it out, they all
concurred with what Pete had noticed. Pete also
suggested that our initial size might be a little small
and after laying it out, we agreed, and are very happy
we made that change. However, none of the other
companies pointed that out. Pete also was the only
one to suggest putting rocks under our deck to keep
moisture, smell, and animals away and after having it
built, we are very glad he made the recommendation and
that we followed it. Our neighbors even commented
on how nice it looks and how they wish they had done
that on their deck.
Although Pete's price was
competitive with the best offer we had, he was not the
lowest, however, when we mentioned
the other lower price we had
been given by a reputable company, he worked with us to
negotiate a price that was mutually acceptable.
During the construction, the crew was there early every
morning, and worked through 100³ plus days, and
called in the evening to
communicate with us if they were not able to do anything
on a given day because of outside circumstances, such as
stormy weather, and high winds. The crew kept
everything nice and neat including spreading
the dirt that was dug up
during the construction.
When the deck was almost
finished, we could tell we were going to love it.
The attention to detail that the crew gave is evident
and you can see the skilled craftsmanship in everything
from the way the boards were laid diagonally, to the
detail
n the posts, and groove in
the hand rails. The deck is beautiful, we love it
and within the first week after it was done we got
compliments on it from 4 different neighbors, including
compliments on the rocks underneath it! We are
very happy with the final product, very happy we chose
Designer Decks over the other companies we were
considering, and I would Highly recommend Designer Decks
to my family and friends, as well as those I don't know
through this email who are considering having a deck
built.
If we were not more than
completely satisfied with the fine job that Pete and
Designer Decks did on our deck, I would not
be taking the time to write
this letter. I am writing it because we are so
happy with the deck that I feel Pete and his
company/crew earned the positive acknowledgment and
deserve to have this letter written and the time it has
taken to
write it is well worth it to
let them know how happy we are with their work.
